Supply chain information is only shown to consumers when brands release that information through for example, an on-product QR code. Consumers have access to essential supply chain information, including company name, address, pictures, and the provided profile text in the company details section. Other company details are not shared. Brands and retailers have the option to hide specific details based on their preferences.
What is the company registration number? Why do I need to fill out the company registration number to invite a company?
The company registration number is a unique number assigned by the government or chamber of commerce that allows the company to do business. The company registration number varies by country. Have a look at the list of company registration numbers in our Glossary.
In tex.tracer, the company registration number is the key identifier when inviting a new company to the platform, making it a required input. You can ask your supply chain partner to provide this number to you.
Who can see the data I enter on the platform?
Your clients can see company profiles, pictures, and certificates of your supply chain partners that work on the client's orders. tex.tracer ensures clients only see the information of the supply chain partners that are linked to their orders. Supply chain partners can only view their information, and when uploading order evidence, only the name and evidence are shared with the relevant partner (to whom you send or from who you receive goods).
How can I get the QR codes for the orders?
Your client will send you the QR codes.
User and Company Details
How do I change the user's email address?
To update the user's email address, contact the tex.tracer team through the chat or [email protected]. Users cannot make this change directly.
How can I change the email address of the partner invited?
To update the invited partner's email address, contact the tex.tracer team through the chat or [email protected]. Users cannot make this change directly.
How can I add my colleague to the same tex.tracer account?
To invite a colleague to the tex.tracer account, follow the steps mentioned in the Add extra user article.
Can I upload company pictures from my computer?
For accurate geolocation and timestamp recording, company pictures must be taken and uploaded using a mobile phone. Follow the steps mentioned in the Upload company pictures article, which includes a tutorial and a downloadable manual.What company details are mandatory to upload?
Uploading company pictures is compulsory, along with providing any certificates requested by your client.
Supply chain partners
Do Tier 2, 3, and 4 supply chain partners have to create supply chains?
Tier 2-4 partners do not create supply chains; Tier 1 (Contractual Partner) or Agents handle this. As a Tier 2-4 partner, you only need to upload and approve order evidence.
How do I invite a supply chain partner from a company that is already registered on tex.tracer, but with a different email address?
When inviting a new contact from a registered company, proceed with the invitation as usual. The company admin will be notified and must approve the new user.
Where can I find the invitation link to invite my supply chain partners again?
To resend the invitation link, contact [email protected]. Unfortunately, you cannot find the link yourself on the platform.
How can I mark a partner inactive?
Currently, it is not possible to do this but the feature will be available in the future.What does it mean when it says "pending invite" next to the name of a supply chain partner?
It means that the supply chain partner hasn't created their tex.tracer account yet
Orderlines
I cannot select my supply chain partners when assigning steps for pending orderlines; what do I do?
If you cannot select your supply chain partners when assigning steps for a pending order, ensure you have invited them. Follow the steps in the Create orderlines article.
If you've already invited the supplier and still cannot find them on the list, contact the tex.tracer team.
How do I create a supply chain for the orders?
To create a supply chain, follow the steps mentioned in the Create orderlines article.
Can I save a supply chain as a draft to work on it later?
Unfortunately, you cannot save a draft of the supply chain. It needs to be completed in one go. It is advised to gather all the information about your supply chain partners before you start creating the orderlines. We will inform you when the draft feature is implemented.
Compliance
How do I upload the evidence pictures without capturing them or through the computer?
Uploading order evidence by taking a photo directly from your mobile phone ensures the timestamp and geolocation are recorded. Using saved images or PDFs for this purpose is not possible.
Why do I have to upload or confirm evidence?
Uploading or confirming evidence is essential to demonstrate that your company has actively participated in a specific order, providing the necessary proof of involvement.
What is the reference number and RSP holder when uploading the BSCI certificate?
When uploading a BSCI certificate, the reference number of the issuer is the executing company's number.
