What is an orderline

In tex.tracer, the supply chain of products is mapped out. This enables brands and retailers to report on their supply chain partners, and to share the product’s journey with the consumer.

The supply chain of a product is traced as follows:

  1. The brand or retailer uploads orderlines to the tex.tracer platform.

  2. The brand or retailer sends the orderlines to their contractual partner.

  3. The contractual partner receives the orderlines, creates the supply chain and can delegate part of the supply chain steps to be filled in by another supply chain partner. This includes inviting the supply chain partners further down the chain (Tier 2 -Tier 4).

  4. All supply chain partners receive the notification to upload orderline evidence: a delivery note to prove working on the order.

Tracing the value chain of a product in this way enables the brand or retailer to collect primary source data.
