As a fabric partner, you will be asked to provide the following information about the fabric(s) you have created:
If the yarn partner did not provide information about the yarn, you, as the fabric partner, can add the information.
If the yarn information has been filled in, continue filling in the fabric information.
Start with Fabric 1:
Reference for this fabric: provide a reference for the fabric; this helps to recognise the fabric for other partners in the supply chain. This is a mandatory field.
Type of fabric: choose one of the types of fabric from the drop-down. This is a mandatory field.
Choose the yarn(s) that are created by the yarn partner. If there is no information, you can add it yourself.
Yarn 1:
Type of yarn: select from the dropdown the reference of the yarn (for non-woven fabrics, fill in the fiber information)
Percentage: add the percentage of Yarn 1 used in the fabric.
Total: If the fabric is completely made from Yarn 1, add 100 percent. If the fabric is made of multiple yarns, you can add extra yarns (click on Add yarn).
Fabric weight: add the weight of the fabric.
Unit: choose one of the types of units for the weight.
Fabric width in cm: add the width of the fabric in centimetres.
Energy use:
Add the energy used to make the fabric.
Energy use per km of yarn: this is calculated in kWh. No decimals are allowed.
Percentage of wind energy used: of your energy use, what percentage is provided by wind energy? This cannot be more than 100%; no decimals are allowed.
Percentage of solar energy used: of your energy use, what percentage is provided by solar energy? This cannot be more than 100%; no decimals are allowed.
You can provide any supporting document by clicking on Upload supporting document. Please make sure this document is written in English.
You can add extra fabrics by clicking on Add Fabric.
Accidentally added an extra piece of fabric? Click on the bin icon to delete the fabric.
Transport data:
Finally, add the transport data to the next partner.
Mode of transport: choose one of the options for transportation.
Distance: add the distance, no decimals.
Unit: choose one of the units (Km, Nautic miles, miles).
Note: When adding transport data, particularly for waterways or sea routes, be careful with the distance and units you enter. Use the sea-distance measurer to calculate the distance in either nautical miles or kilometers.
To track the progress of collecting footprint data, use color indication of the dots next to each step:
Red: Incomplete step
Yellow: Partially complete step
Green: Fully filled-in step
